FREEZER SMOOTHIE

Taking the complicated out of a breakfast smoothie by rethinking the steps of smoothie making. Nutritious to drink and easy to make. Freezer smoothies are good for 3 months in the freezer. It all comes down to a little planning.
Step 1: Use your season. If it is blueberry season I use blueberries as my star. This is where we plan out our smoothie. Start with fruit or vegetables you enjoy!
Step 2: Containers to put the smoothie in. I use small to medium size containers that can be used in a freezer. I like to make individual smoothie because everyone has different likes.
Step 3: Make your grocery list.
Step 4 : Prep…Wash and cut up your fruit or vegetables and place in your clean containers.
Step 5: Label your containers.
Step 6: Freeze your smoothie.
Step 7: Blend…Take frozen smoothie out of the freezer and place in a blender. Add your liquid. Milk alternative, coconut water…use what you like.
Step 8: Enjoy!

I freeze the fruit and then for a easy morning breakfast I add my almond milk. Because I start with frozen smoothie no need to add ice. Simple and nutritious to any part of your day!
(extras that can be added with the liquid: oatmeal for fibre, hemp seeds for protein and a touch of honey or vanilla for added treat)
